Oracle has introduced the 'Secure Configuration Console' which allows easy in-depth insight in various security configuration items of the Oracle E-Business Suite application. Using this dashboard the 'health' can be examined on a per environment basis. The dashboard also allows modification of certain security configurations to mitigate any risks of abuse according to the Oracle security standards. Example checks are:
- Use of default application passwords.
- Use of default database passwords.
- Correct use of the PUBLIC database role.
- Use of HTTPS.
The dashboard is available in 12.1.3 by applying patch 26090737. This functionality is available in 12.2.6 and up by default where version 12.2.7 has even more controls in place.
